1. SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY
This Warranty, Refund and Returns Policy (“Policy”) applies to all products purchased from Sinclair Auto Parts LLC through our website at sinclairautoparts.com. This Policy applies to shipments within the United States only.
By purchasing products from sinclairautoparts.com, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

2. RETURN POLICY
2.1 General Return Conditions
We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you need to return a product, the following conditions apply:
Eligible Returns Must:
- Be requested within 30 days of purchase date
- Include original or undamaged manufacturer packaging
- Include all parts, accessories, and documentation
- Be unused and in new, resalable condition
- Include proof of purchase (order number or receipt)
Returns Will Be Denied For:
- Items returned after 30-day window
- Items with damaged, missing, or altered manufacturer packaging
- Items missing parts, accessories, or documentation
- Items that have been used or installed
- Items showing signs of wear, modification, or damage not caused by shipping
2.2 How to Initiate a Return
Step 1: Email info@sinclairautoparts.com with:
- Your order number
- Product name and SKU
- Reason for return
- Photos (if damaged or defective – see Section 3)
Step 2: Await approval
- We will review your request within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays)
- You will receive return authorization and shipping instructions
- Do not ship products without prior authorization
Step 3: Ship the product
- Pack securely in original manufacturer packaging
- Use a trackable shipping method
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- Customer bears risk of loss/damage during return shipment
2.3 Restocking Fee
Approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee of the purchase price. The restocking fee is deducted from your refund and covers the costs of inspection, repackaging, and restocking returned merchandise.
Restocking fees do NOT apply to:
- Products received damaged in shipping (see Section 3)
- Products covered by manufacturer warranty claims (see Section 4)
2.4 Refund Processing
Once we receive and inspect your returned product:
- Approved returns: Refund (minus 20% restocking fee and original shipping charges) processed within 5-7 business days
- Denied returns: Product returned to customer at customer’s expense; reason for denial provided
- Refunds issued to original payment method
- Please allow 5-10 business days for refund to appear in your account
We do not refund:
- Original outbound shipping charges
- Return shipping costs paid by customer
- Restocking fees
3. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
3.1 Reporting Damage or Defects
If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping or appears defective, do not use the product. Contact us immediately:

- Product name and SKU
- Detailed description of damage or defect
- Clear photos showing:
- Shipping box exterior (if shipping damage)
- Damaged product packaging
- The damaged or defective product itself
- Any missing parts or components
3.2 Our Response Process
We will review your claim within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) and either:
- Approve the claim and provide return shipping instructions, or
- Request additional information or photos, or
- Deny the claim with explanation
3.3 Resolution Options
For approved damage/defect claims, we will:
- Provide a prepaid return shipping label (no cost to you), OR
- Issue a replacement product without requiring return (at our discretion), OR
- Issue a full refund including original shipping charges
No restocking fee applies to approved damage or defect claims.
4. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY COVERAGE
4.1 How Warranties Work
Sinclair Auto Parts sells products manufactured by various brands (including ATD Tools, Channellock, and others). Each manufacturer provides their own warranty coverage for their products.
When you purchase a product from us:
- The product is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, not a Sinclair Auto Parts warranty
- Warranty terms, duration, and coverage vary by manufacturer and product
- Warranty duration and specific coverage details can be found on individual product pages
- We honor and facilitate all valid manufacturer warranty claims on your behalf
4.2 Manufacturer Direct Contact
While we facilitate warranty claims on your behalf, you also have the option to contact manufacturers directly. For manufacturer contact information, please visit our Manufacturers page or contact us at info@sinclairautoparts.com.
4.3 Warranty Claims Process
If a product fails during the manufacturer’s warranty period:
Step 1: Contact us at info@sinclairautoparts.com with:
- Your order number and proof of purchase
- Product name, model number, and SKU
- Date of purchase
- Detailed description of the problem
- Photos or video of the issue (if applicable)
Step 2: We facilitate the claim
- We will review your claim and contact the manufacturer on your behalf
- We determine whether the issue is covered under manufacturer warranty
- We coordinate directly with the manufacturer
Step 3: Resolution
- If approved: We send you a replacement product, typically within 24 hours of manufacturer approval
- If denied: We explain why the claim was denied and provide any options available
4.4 What Manufacturer Warranties Generally Cover
Most manufacturer warranties cover:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Product failures under normal, intended use
- Defects that appear during the warranty period

4.5 What Manufacturer Warranties DO NOT Cover
Manufacturer warranties generally do NOT cover:
- Misuse, abuse, or improper use – Using the product in ways not intended by the manufacturer
- Accidental damage – Drops, impacts, crushing, or other physical damage
- Normal wear and tear – Gradual degradation from regular use over time
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs – Alterations, repairs, or service by non-authorized parties
- Use beyond expected product life – Continued use after reasonable product lifespan
- Commercial or industrial use beyond product rating – Using consumer-grade products in commercial/industrial applications not specified by manufacturer
- Consumable parts – Batteries, filters, blades, or other items expected to wear out
- Cosmetic damage – Scratches, dents, or discoloration that don’t affect function
4.6 Important Warranty Limitations
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Properly using and maintaining the product according to manufacturer instructions
- Providing proof of purchase for warranty claims
- Accurately describing the problem
- Shipping the defective product back to us (we provide return labels for approved claims)
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Manufacturer warranty denials
- Delays in manufacturer warranty processing
- Changes to manufacturer warranty policies
- Products purchased from other retailers (we only warranty products purchased directly from sinclairautoparts.com)
5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
5.1 Risk of Loss
Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery.
Once a carrier confirms delivery to your specified address:
- You assume all risk of loss, theft, or damage
- We are not responsible for packages stolen after delivery
- We are not responsible for delivery to incorrect addresses provided by customer
5.2 Delivery Issues
If tracking shows “delivered” but you did not receive the package:
- Check with household members, neighbors, building management
- Check all possible delivery locations at your address
- Contact the shipping carrier directly with tracking number
- File a claim with the carrier if the package cannot be located
We do not provide refunds or replacements for packages confirmed delivered by the carrier.
5.3 Shipping Damage Prevention Recommendations
We recommend:
- Providing accurate, complete delivery addresses
- Requiring signature confirmation for high-value orders
- Using secure delivery locations
- Installing security cameras or package lockboxes if theft is a concern in your area
While these are recommendations, securing delivered packages is the customer’s responsibility.
6. GENERAL TERMS
6.1 Business Days Definition
“Business days” as used throughout this Policy means Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and any days when Sinclair Auto Parts is closed for business.
6.2 Policy Changes
We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of sinclairautoparts.com after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Policy.
Purchases are governed by the Policy in effect at the time of purchase.
6.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- Our total liability for any claim related to products purchased from sinclairautoparts.com shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the product
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for damages caused by misuse, abuse, or failure to follow manufacturer instructions
These limitations do not affect warranties or rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
6.4 Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
6.5 Severability
If any provision of this Policy is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
