Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 24, 2026 · Version 2.0

Sinclair Auto Parts, LLC (“Sinclair Auto Parts,” “we,” “us”) runs sinclairautoparts.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers this website and orders placed on it. Purchases made in our eBay store are also covered by eBay’s own privacy notice.

The short version

  • We collect what we need to fill your order and answer your questions: your name, contact details, addresses and what you bought.
  • Card and account details go straight to our payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
  • We share order details only with the companies that process payments, ship orders and run the website, and only for those jobs.
  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information at any time: info@sinclairautoparts.com.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Orders: name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, the products you order, and any order notes.
  • Accounts: if you create an account, your login details (passwords are stored encrypted) and saved addresses. You can also check out as a guest.
  • Messages: what you send us through the contact form, by email or by text, plus the email address or phone number we reply to.
  • Returns and warranty claims: your order details, photos and a description of the problem.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our systems and the service providers in Section 4 collect technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that sent you here, and the date and time of your visit. WooCommerce also records how you arrived (for example a search engine, an ad or a direct visit) and saves that with your order.

Information from others

  • Payment processors tell us whether a payment went through and give us limited details, such as the card type and its last four digits.
  • Shipping carriers give us tracking and delivery status.
  • eBay gives us the name, shipping address and order details we need to ship an eBay purchase.

2. How we use your information

  • Process, ship and track your order, and send order and shipping emails.
  • Answer your questions and handle returns, damage claims and manufacturer warranty claims.
  • Run your account, if you have one.
  • Keep the site secure, and prevent fraud and spam.
  • See how the site is used and whether our advertising works, so we can improve both.
  • Keep the records that tax, accounting and other laws require.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe (credit and debit cards, plus Link, Amazon Pay, Klarna and Affirm, offered through Stripe) and by PayPal. Your card or account details go directly to the processor you choose. We never receive or store your full card number or security code. If you choose Klarna or Affirm financing, that company may run its own checks under its own terms and privacy policy.

4. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only what each one needs for its job.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them for:

  • Store functions: your cart, checkout and login. The store does not work without these.
  • Security: Google reCAPTCHA and Jetpack’s security tools tell people from bots and block attacks.
  • Payments: Stripe and PayPal use cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Statistics: Google Analytics, Jetpack Stats, WooCommerce Analytics and WooCommerce order attribution show us how visitors find and use the site.
  • Advertising measurement: Google’s tag tells us when a visit from a Google ad or listing leads to a purchase.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking store cookies stops the cart and checkout from working. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits, install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. To control how Google uses data for ads, visit My Ad Center. Our site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control browser signals.
